Deciding on the best gameserver
The world of gameservers has grown and evolved since geeky gamers first started shooting each other online, with the release of Quake way back in the 90′s. Games such as Counterstrike Source and the COD series have seen chunky pixelated graphics become realistic first person shooters.
Naturally, picking the right game to play is a difficult consideration. The first thing to review is why you wish to play the game. Are you looking for a real competitive edge against expert gamers, perhaps with the view to being paid to pop headshots? If so, a game such as Counterstrike Source would be highly recommended. There are many competitive ladders for CS Source, such as ESL where you can pit your wits against the best gamers across the globeIf on the other hand you are after a game to chill in the evenings, maybe consider a less intense game, and more leisure orientated? Team Fortress 2 has to be a good bet. Cartoon style graphics and fun and team orientated fun are on the menu!

If co-op (co-operative based team play) is really your thing, you might choose KillingFloor, or Left 4 Dead 2. L4D2 boasts a variety of game types- including ‘Versus’- where you play on a team against other enemies. Alternatively ‘Campaign mode’ will let you attempt real missions with the assistance of friends online.Another factor to consider is just how squeamish you are. If the sight of guts puts cold shivers down your spine, then give L4D2 a miss- and don’t go anywhere near Killing Floor! Team Fortress 2 on the other hand is about as safe an online game gets.
